Dr Jane Watson

Dr Jane Watson is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with Ethos Health where she works alongside physiotherapists and exercise physiologists with the common vision of better health outcomes for individuals, communities and workplaces.

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Jane translates nutrition science into practical advice to promote healthy eating. Her interest in infant, child and maternal nutrition was consolidated during her PhD where she developed and validated a food-frequency questionnaire to assess the dietary intakes of children and adolescents. Her PhD work was the foundation of current online dietary assessment surveys, the Healthy Eating Quiz and the Australian Eating Survey, and the widely published Australian Recommended Food Score. Jane has undertaken additional study in child nutrition, population health and is an accredited practitioner for the Triple P parenting program. She is passionate about working with families to promote healthy eating habits during pregnancy and beyond.

Jane and her husband, Trent, have three energetic sons and feeding the family is the biggest challenge and delight Jane has faced as a dietitian.

Dr Trent Watson is the CEO and principal consultant dietitian at Ethos Health. Trent completed his undergraduate studies and PhD in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Newcastle and combines his business responsibilities with a variety of consulting roles including high profile professional sport organisations, workplaces, and Channel 10’s Biggest Loser program. He is a media spokesperson with the Dietitians Association of Australia and is passionate about providing accurate nutrition, health and lifestyle information that cuts the confusion and makes a difference!
